The appearance of the stone is finished with surface treatment

The surface treatment method strongly affects the depth of color on a dry stone surface. A polished stone surface is always the most intense in terms of color, while a cross-hatched surface is the lightest. The most common surface treatments for natural stone are burning, cross-hatching, and splitting. The closest to the natural rock surface is the split surface, which is a good option for certain structures, such as wall stones. When it comes to manufacturing larger units with precision and cost-effectiveness, such as cobblestones, sawn stone products with a burned surface are often used.
